What do you cut on?

A while ago I made myself a cutting table. It is a board on some of those plastic drawers. It's not bad, it is a huge improvement on cutting on my sewing table, but I want better. I am in the process of completely rethinking my sewing room and I figure this is the time to try and get my cutting table right. I don't really feel I can justify 1800 or even 800 for one of the official tables I've seen. They are nice, but for that much money I am sure I can make something better (or at least as good). So what do you use? There must be some people out there with dedicated cutting tables, and I would love to hear from you. Heck, what do your friend have that you would like to copy or could never live with? All information will be appreciated, and I am quite sure the results will be posted here eventually.

my cutting table is 6 ft x 2ft and stands at the back of my horn cabinet so it's ok for draping quilts across.
It's made from 18mm MDF with a frame underneath made from 50 x 50 mm timber and the legs are the same, they bolt on so it can be taken apart if needed. Can't remember how much it cost but my DH made it for me. I suppose if I'd had more room I would have made it wider, for a larger cutting mat

Mine's simple, this time around... a 4ftx2ft folding table, sitting atop half cement blocks to make it tall enough. I'd prefer it a little wider, but apartment living makes this a good solution. It's also cheap, which is nice ;)

I knew there had to be good alternatives out there. I am hoping to go to Ikea in the next couple of days and I think I will have a look at the table legs they have on offer. They might have something that will go up high enough, and maybe have wheels too. I think I would like to have locking wheels, so I can move the table if I want to but it is stable when I don't. Also casters would make it a bit taller I think.

Thanks for the suggestions.
