Two posts in a day - am I ill

No but my shoulders ache so I am taking a break. I was pointed in the direction of this blog post. It has a great picture of what happens to a sewing machine needle after a few hours of sewing. Take a look, this is why I press students into changing their needles, I am really not on commission from any of the needle companies :)

Needles do need to be changed but a use for after their life of sewing is break off the point end. Use the thick end as a picture hanger. Pound the broken end into the wall and the heavy end of the needle will hold up to 20lbs of picture frame. When you need to pull it out it is a small hole. Try it. chris

This is why I'm now on titanium needles and loving it. They so last so much longer.
